Music City Swing

Music City Swing is a 21-piece band with a mission: preserving America's great WWII music exactly as it was played back then. Founder and bandleader Karl Wingruber arranges the music directly from the original recordings by Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Glen Gray, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Harry James, and many other legendary bands of the day.

To reach modern audiences, Music City Swing maintains a fast paced, high-energy show and encourages audience members to dance or sing along. Fronting the band are the MCS singers, an amazing vocal quartet specializing in the harmony of The Modernaires, The Pied Pipers, The Andres Sisters, The McGuire Sisters, and many more.

Music City Swing has been delighting audiences across Tennessee since 2003, and has appeared with entertainment luminaries such as Jimmy Fortune and Tim Conway. The band has also been featured regularly on Nashville's Fox 17 morning show and is currently recording an album in tribute to WWII singer Louise Tobin.
